Income poverty and multidimensional poverty, Asia-Pacific countries
 
Multidimensional poverty is not strongly correlated with income poverty. Poverty reduction strategies that focus exclusively on increasing income can therefore miss important parts of the picture. Some countries have relatively low income poverty rates but, at the same time, relatively high rates of multidimensional poverty.
